The Jeannie Years (40th)

We thought the party was at last at an end,
But one more birthday wish we feel we must send,

To Little Jeannie our best mate,
Although 40 we still think she’s great

Born back in the 70’s the years of Slade,
That’s when our little Jeannie was made,

Mum and Dad big Jeannie and Kevin,
Had a daughter sent from Heaven,

A family home in Cantril Farm
Their little Girl could do no harm

A happy family with brothers two
With Kevin and Thomas up she grew

A teenager she soon grew up,
And threw away her plastic cups,

Her new favourite drink came in a can
Usually Cider, she didn’t tell her Nan

This is the case I tell you truly
Jeannie became quite unruly

Nights in the park a laugh and a drink
Then vomiting in the kitchen sink

Nights out and about having a rave,
About this time she met up with Dave

Of a day in school it wasn’t Dave she missed
It was being in the park with friends getting pissed

Teenager years passed and she moved on
To adulthood and lots more fun

She got a Job the thing to do
And met another friend or two

Flexitime spent in the Royal,
Some hard work and a little toil

But during the day all she could think
Is when am I getting my next drink

Christmas, Birthdays any excuse you’d find
To get in the pub and have good times

Nights started early in the Royal Bar
Out till late then picked up by car.

Your friends from the Royal, Jan to name one
Known as your old friend she’s almost your Mum

Alison and Andrea to name another two
In your many years you’ve made quite a few

You enjoyed this time you made good friends
It still goes on and may never end

But now your 40 you should calm down
And give up your roll as the office clown.

We went to your wedding you married Dave
The party was great we had a good rave,

Married for some years
You had some fun and shared a few beers

After a while you drifted apart
And split with Dave to make a brand new start

Holiday time always make you smile,
And you have travelled many a mile

USA, France and Spain
You fly about again and again.

Cape Verde, Mexico, Greece and all
Holidays all over having a ball,

You’ve been many place but not the Bahamas
Your friends now know you as Judith Chalmers!!!!!

You like to sit in the sun with a drink
Lay there all day until you go pink

Out in the night for something to eat
Sausage and chips is your favourite treat.

Posh hotels were always your thing
Pampered and looked after, room service you’d ring

Now you like camping and enjoy it with glee
Especially when using your favourite she wee

Trips with the Doddies in the wild with no fear
As long as you’ve got a couple of beers

As Auntie Jeannie you are also known
Sam, Ethan and Harry you treat like your own

You’ll play on the carpet and shout out their names
And when they want you’ll join in their games

Mandy you’ve known for many a year
You’ve shared some good times and also some tears,

Part of your family Mandy has become
She’s even decided to share your Dad and Mum

Organising trips you do quite a lot
For Birthdays or Hen nights you give all you’ve got

Making your plans and doing your bit
Hoping the trip will turn out as a hit

For old friend and young friend Mandy and Jan,
You sorted a trip to Belfast the plan,

You sorted the passports stole Dave and John’s money,
Set up at the airport you thought it quite funny,

You waited in arrivals with your greeting cards
And when they arrive you waved your placards.

Off to the pub for a drink with the rest
This weekend turned out to be one of the best

On Saturday again the pub for one or two
Then off to another pub we got DE  JA VU!!

A little bit Abba while the house you do clean
Doing your impressions of the Dancing Queen

You clean the windows until you get a good view
Then dance around to the song Waterloo

Mama Mia another good tune
You dance around as you tidy you room.

Now like your Mum, you’ve picked up a Kevin
Is this the one, a match made in heaven?

You met in Ibiza on one of your trips
And when your eyes met you soon kissed his lips

He’s younger than you and is not a bad catch,
Some people say he’s your cradle snatch!!!

Now lucky for you he has a sausage machine
Which makes him become the man of your dreams?

Don’t be silly were not being rude
We just know that sausage is your favourite food.

On Kev’s first visit you made up the spare room,
You put on clean sheets and swept up with the broom

He got in that bed but soon he did jump,
Into your bed for a RUMPY PUMP PUMP!!

We mention above your favourite nosh
And now you eat in restaurants ever so posh

You used to eat rubbish chips eggs and beans,
You didn’t know good food you know what I mean

You now eat lots more and you new favourite dish
It’s served with the head on a whopping big FISH

And so to the future what does it hold?
Assumptions we make were being quite bold

More parties more fun nights out with the girls
And also some more trips around the world

Maybe you’ve had enough of all that
And are looking to settle down with a dog and a cat,

May be a wedding that would be neat
And the possible sound of tiny feet??

Whatever you decide we wish you the best
Your birthdays now over now so please have a rest

Enjoy your night we’ll share a few beers
Remember as friends we’ll always be here

So happy 40th birthday again from us all
The past few weeks you’ve had a ball

I think now the celebrations are done
If you don’t stop soon you’ll be 41
