Mum 60th

Mum 60

As you know Dad got a rhyme
And now Mum it is your time

60 today happy birthday to you
So let us reveal a thing or two

Born down south 1951 the year
The off to India without any fear

Four years spent living over there
And at the end of the trip in Indian you could swear

Back to Plymouth to your southern friends
The fact you are southern will never end

Bolton your next stop at the age of 14
A bit like down south but not quite as green

This move Bolton it didn’t turn out bad
As you met Bernard our lovely Dad

Your childhood sweetheart sent from above
The man that you married the man that you love

You married at the tender age of 21
You had no doubts that Dad was the one

A life together you have spent
Under roof, trailer and sometimes tent

As long as you’re together it’s all good
In Sharples or in Harwood

And so to your family all gathered here
To celebrate with you with a wine and a beer

Two lovely daughters Mandie and me
Cora, Megan, Riley Grandchildren 3

Dog walking is something you like to do
Your hairy Grandchildren Nemo and Blue

Of Micky and Cassie You often talk
You also love taking them for a walk

When you get home no time to linger
Off to the garden with your green fingers

Growing your plants sowing you seeds
A relaxing pastime and something you need

Historical novels you like to read
And a bit of a thriller is also your need

Watching TV occasionally of course
Nothing better than Lewis and Morse

A systems analyst you used to be
Working with computers you found so easy

You gave it all up because of your marriage
And went off to work with dad in his garage

Doing the books checking cash flow
Anything needed you’d give it a go

But when talking to Dad he once told me
That the best thing you did was brewing the tea!!!

And now you’re retired the time is yours
To relax and avoid the daily chores

Caravan holidays down in Devon
A place so nice it could be heaven

Dartmoor never fails to make you smile
Taking the dogs walking for miles

So Mum enjoy the rest of your life
You are a great Mum and a wonderful wife

The strongest woman I’ve ever met
There can’t much better I’m willing to bet

The inspiration in our family
You will always be that to me

You are my Mum you’re my best mate
We all love you and think you’re great…

So Mum have a Bailey’s and drink a toast
Along with those who love you most

 Happy birthday to our Mum
We hope your life if filled with fun

Let’s raise our glasses and all cheer
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM were so glad you’re here
