An ode to Helen” 40” today.
Life begins at forty they say,
So today for Helen is the day,
Cellulite and lots of wrinkles,
Lost control of your TINKLES!
The big four “O” you will become,
Although you think you’re twenty-one,
Hot flush, mood swings aches and pains,
At least we know that not much has changed.
We’ve been great friends for many years,
We had some laughs we’ve shared some tears
Days out shopping spending money
Nights out drinking always funny!!
Time spent with you has been great,
I think you’ll always be my mate.
So off to Primark you will go,
Bags in hand and ready to go,
A top for Hannah, a dress for Holly,
Some shorts for William and a lolly,
Credit cards are made to be used,
But according to Neil are being abused
Don’t stop you now; you’re in a rush
To make that sale and beat the crush.
Spend, spend, spend is you cry
Shop until the day you die.
A magistrate you did become,
I think you thought this might be fun,
Passing sentence, giving out fines
I wonder where you find the time
Married to Neil in 97,
from that day you been in heaven
Three lovely kids William Hannah and Holly
When you look what you have, it must make you jolly.
So happy birthday to my mate,
I hope you’re day is really great
Remember today you’re number one
Enjoy the laughs enjoy the fun
